MMA Fight Team

While NXG Combat Sports offers something for almost everyone and is most definitely a family martial arts academy, the NXG Fight Team is reserved for those persons who earn the right , and want to challenge themselves in the actual arena of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). 

This is a proving ground where aspiring fighters test themselves in unarmed combat against another human being, often on the quest to becoming a professional fighter.

While many martial arts schools like to use the phrase "MMA" due to its popularity, it is something we actually do. Our coaching staff has been licensed through the Alabama Athletic Commission for well over a decade now, and has been involved in mixed martial arts since before it was a regulated sport.  

Our Multi-State licensed coaching staff insures our fighters are properly and adequately trained in addition to having knowledgeable and experienced trainers, cornermen and seconds ringside during combat sports events. 

With well over a decade in the MMA community, our team has a solid reputation and relationship with both promoters and matchmakers. Other gyms may struggle to find fights, but we are established enough in the industry that we have easy access to fights, even having promotors and matchmakers reaching out to us (this is not a brag, but rather a blessing that we have earned thisprivilege)!

Currently active in B2 Fighting Series, NFC, and Impact Promotions, we also have strong connections to matchmakers from Island Fights, Gamebred FC, WCFL, Vigilant MMA and more top tier promotions. 

We are home to past and present amateur champions, and have "Knockout of the Night" and "Submission of the Night" accolades. As a team we posses a winning record in MMA (both amateur and pro) and have direct association with other Pro-Camps. 

This has long established us among the top MMA teams in the state of Alabama, and by far in the greater Montgomery area.  

All fighters and fight team candidates train in our regular programs where fundamental skills are developed and maintained. Prospects will be drafted to participate in private team training where they will serve as partners for active fighters while themselves learning the more intricate aspects of MMA and the processes that go on behind the scenes. 

Once a prospect has experienced the training regimen of a fight camp, and gained some backstage experience at MMA events, the coaches will decide when the prospect is prepared for their first fight.
