With a martial arts background spanning a lifetime his teaching style blends traditional values with modern combat sports methodology.

Beginning in Taekwondo, Judo, and Boxing with his father, and later gaining exposure to Muay Lao (Muay Thai) through friendships in the Southeast Asian community; his hybrid experience lead him to become an MMA striking coach and also to a love for the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Wrestling. 

Competitively, he reached the international stage in Taekwondo at the International Goodwill Championships (2011) and the World Pioneers Cup (2015) and has competed in BJJ and Kickboxing at regional events including NAGA and the Combat Classic. 

His upbringing exposed him to real world violence, creating a path to work in security consultation which opened doors to provide instruction to multiple law enforcement agencies and the United States Airforce providing instruction to Maxwell Air Force Base's Officer Training School & SNCOA. 

He teaches from a level of life experience and cultural exposure that is clearly seen in the passion and understanding he expresses on the mats.
